This is our Joey. Is that a playful pose or what? He is a rescue from Lafayette, IN and is now about 6 years old. That is his "sister", Bella (a lab mix rescue and two years younger) in the background and she truly is as black as this black and white photo displays. Joey is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog (mostly)and his coloring is a golden chestnut and pure white. And, yes he is actually showing his teeth as he smiles quite often.
Their groomer, Michelle, tells us that when she comes towards him with his toothbrush he actually smiles even more!! They were photographed off and on for a few hours and were both pooped pups! They are truly a team and do everything together. Their favorite past-time is digging and chasing field mice in their side yard and it is hysterical to see both noses in the ground and rear-ends up in the air. They have realized that they are actually better able to capture one if they have their noses inching towards each other in order to capture their tiny prey between them!
They are so funny and enjoyable to watch and play along with. When tired and hot then they love to go inside and snuggle up together on the couch. Dogs are truly a gift to treasure!
