Sandy never took her eyes off us as we walked around the large holding area at the Dallas shelter. We checked out all the available dogs, but kept coming back to her. My husband said, "Let's take this one" and all our lives changed. She had already been to at least two shelters, but the only information they could give us was that she had recently been spayed and micro-chipped and they thought she was about two years old.
She was still swollen from nursing a litter of pups, but no one could tell us about their fate. When we got her home, she immediately bonded with our other dog and two cats. We have had several rescues, all wonderful dogs, but Sandy is the most loving, most devoted and just wants to please. We never have to look for her, she is always by our sides. She just wanted a forever home and now she has one and our lives are enriched because of her.
